Hickstead Masters and Premier League

This Hickstead meeting is in its second day and is a rather damp and soggy  affaire. There have been long queues of lorries waiting to be towed into and out of the lorry part with await of over three hours at times.

There was a brief respite this morning but the rain continued this afternoon.

Bearing in mind the conditions there were surprisingly few withdrawals and some very good tests. Pictured above is Richard Black riding Nicky Callam’s High Hoes Sidone, winners of the Masters Elementary Championship. Sidone is by Sir Donnerhall, and was purchased by Nicky as a three week old foal.
