Regional season has started, a little early this year to accommodate the Olympics in an already crowded schedule.

First off is Kingston Maurward South West Regionals this week with Prelim and the two Novice classes today.

Things did not start well for organiser Julie Rickman as the floods in Devon delayed the arrival of judge Sue Petty and so the start of the class was delayed but all the classes were completed.

The first qualifiers were Gayle White and Headmore Daydreamer on 71.21% and Sarha Harnett with Okey Dokey on 70.61%, who were first and second in the Preliminary Class.

Gayle had a busy day, as she was also second and qualified in the Novice Restricted on Headmore Roxanne on 67.57%. The winners were Alison Luscombe and Sienna Sunset on 69.77%.

In the Novice Open, three horses qualified, all on 70% plus scores. The winner was Charlie Sawyer on Stanbourne Boromir (pictured above), second Katie Knight on Astero and third was Nicky Hodge and Diamond Jack.
